indeed things have changed and a lot of the issues are because we have to have a computer, phone or tablet to keeep in touch

Technology...Science.....all very good and great....but the flip side is that with out considering consequences and opening Pandora's Box......well, the children went wild and the parents were too busy. Everything is out of whack....I think social media and the media itself are the biggest drivers of why it has all gone downhill so fast.....but, like we say about guns, it is the people doing the shooting who are responsible. It got too hard to serve God's rules as Society had always demanded under the umbrella of Western Civilization....and serve the gods of commerce and pleasure - I think that is the bottom line.

We seem to have preserved some of that caring for each other out here in the bush, or in our small villages, Justi. It is one of the reasons my son wants to move our Miracle baby from the city back to this area. I agree with you though. On the whole, people tend to observe everything like it's an ongoing movie that has nothing to do with them.

I suppose we get what we deserve Justi. I think there is still hope, though it takes a catastrophe for folk to gel like they did in the old days.

I gave away my sewing machine the last time I moved while downsizing. I have regreted it more than a few times for myself, but I hope the person I gave it to is using it and enjoying it.
