That is a great question, Bill, one in which people in Maryland are discussing. The bus companies argue that they are set up to where seatbelts would be a hindrance. Of course, businesses are always hesitant to do anything that is going to cause them to incur more costs. My inclination is to trust them, though. How many people per bus capita have received major injuries that a seatbelt could have prevented?

I think they should have them on school buses. They don't around here.

excellent idea but hardly practical on comuter buses where people pack in like sardines.

Well if it became law, not that I use the bus, but it is always there.
