It's difficult to believe that this is not some New York Times #1 Best Seller novel horror story with a doomsday ending.  I would ask, how did we get to this point, except I've been reading your posts all this time and have a pretty good idea.

The numbers are not adding up in a way that looks too good for the West. Things keep getting uglier and uglier.

To me, this is a very frightening post. Living a bit too near to a "decommissioned" nuclear power plant, I recall hearing that the people living a bit closer were given iodine tablets for a "just in case" scenario, and thinking, if true, what would happen to the rest of us living just outside the city limits in the event of a catastrophe; therefore, I especially liked they way you mention that the radiation clouds don't seem to recognize borders.
