- Go to Cultural Fatigue – National Suicide…
Nautikos
This woman is an idiot...I can't say anything more succinct. I see "cultural fatigue" at work in the US, too.....the so-called far right (which encompasses anyone not a liberal, according to our mainstream press) is sick and tired of liberal ideology, and even changing the tag to "progressive" doesn't change the fact that, in the way many of us see it, the "Change" Obama promised is threatening everything we have always loved about America. Perfect, we aren't....but giving up our country?...it will come to civil war first. As the flag I saw flying over a country estate this weekend proclaimed, "Come and take it".

From Wikipedia: "Come and take it" is an historic American slogan, used in 1778 at Fort Morris in the Province of Georgia during the American Revolutionary War, and in 1835 at the Battle of Gonzales during the Texas Revolution.

It never ceases to amaze me how there are those in the Left who have gone against their principles for the sake of votes.

My Japanese DIL and I have discussions sometimes about Japan and its general attitude towards non-Japanese. Although very polite towards others, they are also very determined to keep any other culture from upsetting their own. Watching present events in Europe lead me to believe that Japan is very wise.

Hi Naut. It's so sad to watch the deterioration of Europe. I have spent long periods of my life in there, mainly in France, but had not visited since 2001. I went recently and i was shocked. Paris was in chaos I barely recognized the places i used to enjoy so much. Smelly, dirty streets by the cafes which I remembered filled with flowers. and mobs of young men everywhere, just roaming around and up to no good. "Culture fatigue" is a very appropriate term for what is happening there The children of immigrant families from Morocco, Algeria, and other places, so cute when I had been there before, are all grown up now and there are no jobs for them, so they wonder endlessly among the chic and the very rich, pandering for scraps or taking what they want by force That is a recipe for disaster and the French are clueless as to what to do. i imagine it's about the same or worse in Germany. the far right is having a field day exploting the fear of the citizens that feel abandoned by the overwhelmed authorities. Between that and the terrorism I feel so bad for them but your readers are right. History might repeat itself, yes and as someone who lost most of my family in the holocaust that is so horrible to even consider I tremble to think it might happen
Be well and keep it up. As always such a pleasure to read u Xoxo

from the Internet....
New Nationalism
Running on nationalist and often racist platforms, far right parties have gone from the streets into government, enjoying renewed popularity on local and national levels throughout Europe. In eastern Germany, the far-right NPD party has a foothold at state and local levels.

Actually the far right in Germany are already starting. And to laugh at that or to dismiss it could be, to repeat history less than a hundred years after the first go round. Germany could very easily break into autonomous States yet again for the borders of Europe are very fragile.Tis their History.
