Nautikos
I love it! Of course, I may be too simplistic in my reaction, not being in the mood to dive deep. But what I love is that this evoked such simple pleasures, such sensual experiences that are forever imprinted, once truly experienced. Things that last....things that we take for granted in this modern world of so many distractions....that is what I took from this....and loved it for.

Besides the literal, which I chose to interpret, I am reminded of something my mother used to say, "(S)he/they'll come at you like a snake in the grass..." Sooo, I thought of war here in this haiku, also... ?

You are not one of those famous reptilians posing as a human are you? Somehow I don't think of wet grass and strawberries together. Perhaps I'm missing out in my brain layers.

You and Taps are the Haiku King and Queen. I have strawberries in the fridge. Think I might get myself some for a late breakfast.
