I myself do not remember those days. They are, indeed, handy, online here at Blogit.

Rare that I don't come in and read but sometimes too tired to leave a comment for each person. Where are the calling cards? I think I'm too sleepy to find them in here....

I know of the calling cards, of course, but must confess that I rarely check to see if I received any, and rarely use them when I visit someone without commenting, which is almost as rare. But I shall mend my ways...

I remember when the calling cards were started here. It was at the time that Afzal50 was and had been for quite some time The Top Blogger. He wrote a lot of posts and he visited everyone else though seldom left a comment. It was his habit to leave only a rose or a star or such. We had members who thought he was not reading their posts and complained to the powers that be. And so, the calling cards were initiated and the rules were that you had to either write a comment or use the calling card instead. Some people were happy when Afzal fell from the top spot. He has been gone from here for well over a year and I think that those who complained are gone too, but the calling cards remain.
Afzal50's last posting:
When
nobody is with you
God
is there to save you
when
you are left alone
Think of God and He is there

I must admit I do look very rarely and at times I have been pleasantly surprised. Amanda usually sends one, so that's fine.`

I do check my calling cards and it is nice to see that someone stopped by.
I agree. Yes somewhere along with the introduction of TV games which grew into all sorts of internet games, with cell phones which became your life line to every form of communications it seems, everything has sped so fast in the World and I am totally out of the loop except for email and Blogit.
