I know it is rather painful at times to dispose of old friendly furniture and anything that brings back memories. Anyway you have given me the idea to sort out those things I do not need. It is a job to give it away to relatives as they always say ,we have no room .
I wish you luck anyway. Better to do it before the cold weather arrives.

Its really hard to let go of things especially if we think that someday it would come in handy or we could keep it for our kids and the future generation. I can tell you Justi, our kids will never think the way we do..

Justi, it happens, especially if you had kids. I even saved my high school
notes and poetry - but one of my siblings threw them out during my travels!

I would have horded everything 'cept for moving all the time and I did seem to change husbands as often as my underwear. LOL. Some things I gave to the DIL's but they seemed to disappear fairly quickly. I think girls prefer their own Mam's stuff. I still have too much stuff under sis's house. Hope that she never sells...ot maybe I could tell her just to leave the stuff there.

There are some things I try over and over again to make myself get rid of, but so far haven't been able to do. Last time I got in that mood, I boxed up two containers of one of a kind coffee mugs to take to Salvation Army Thrift Store. I put them in my trunk and they are still there. LOL
