Re: TAPS and Nautikos
Bingo to both of you! It was supposed to do that. I have a follow-up poem that is almost finished I may get to post soon. Thank you very much. Oh, BTW, I do have a favorite cup for drinking coffee that has an image of a medieval tapestry on it. Has nothing to do with the poem though.
One for each of you! LOL! I'm just a medieval kinda of lady, I guess.

I can see why Nautikos said what he did. There is just something about this poem that speaks of ages past and many memories.

Well, thank you, Katray2! Yes, fear, the unknown, many things, can do that, as well as hate. I appreciate your comments.

Fantastically done, RPresta..
Speaks to me of hating what it is feared, the barely seen and unknown that can tease and taunt our imaginations. Great writing and timely for the season..

Re: Kabu
Oh, thank you, that's so very sweet of you. Perhaps a sisterhood of today's women DO hear the cries of the past, and sorrow for them. Yes, once upon a time, women had it worse than now... Thank you for hearing that part.

I may be right off base here but to me it is a cry of Womanhood, for freedom from the drearyness of living second class citizen lives. A cry for freedom to be ourselves and not what someone else demands that we be.
seeing all of this in your words I just love it and you. The cry of women from past to present.

Very evocative, especially the witches singing a sacred song, ancient, baring their breasts ... This Shakespearean cum Greek tales convey a lot for the imagination.
