You have been given some good advice here. Learn to look at your needs and say No whenever you need to do so. Three is not a couple so say so. Be prepared to lose some friendships etc., but they may not have been before if they can not adjust to meed your needs as you have theirs. Just stand up for yourself.

Man oh man. Tell them you have been more than generous and now they need to pay 75 for that extra month because you had already mades for such and such and it was going to set you back financially.

Do look after your Mum, you do not want that on your conscience as you seem to have a better one than most. OK you said the end of Jan, I would make that final. I would move in with your loved one temporarily . If you don't enjoy the holidays,don't go. Life is quite simple although I have never found it so.

It has been my experience that those who say they are stuck aren't doing what they need to be doing to change their situation! They will use this type if excuse because it serves their immediate needs, cut them off!!!! I would hike the rent, non negotiable, and give them a final date! sam

maybe you won't be able to leave your Mother much. I would get the law onto those so called friends. They are not mates and will stay on and on.
