I don't know anything about your faith, denomination, culture etc. I do know you have a very poor concept of Christianity after the cross. There are no rules such as die if you do die if you don't as in the Old Testament. In Jesus you receive salvation and love and you grow in that with so many blessings. The cross is to show you how you got the blessings and why you are subject to the old testament. Sorry you see uglyness in any of the totality of the new testament.

So awful that the peace of a tiny manger bed in a stable on a starry night in Bethlehem culminated in the ugliness, pain and suffering that is pictured on your post...and yet God loved us that much.
