Thank you everyone for the in-dept post. This city has many many deadly accidents and/or near death collisions; are city officials anything about this ordeal to promote better driving habit for public safety b/c it has to be an issue of safety at this point!

I lived there for years and knoew threre is no such thing as setting an appointment and expecting to make it on time. You will either arrive so early because you prepared for all the quirkies or you are so late because you thought maybe this time and all the quirkies got off the streets. It is not only the streets it is also the highways. Plus there are sixteen Peachtree Streets and/or Avenues if I remember correctly it is near that number up or down a couple.

There's a tradition of courtesy in the south, I'm assuming that includes
Atlanta, where people are very hospitable and friendly. Sounds like that does not extend to the highways.

Sounds like driving in Sydney Australia which has always been a life threatening experience. Why can't people just stick to the rules but some very nice folk turn into mosters once in a car.

I remember my first time driving through Atlanta! We were keeping up with the flow of traffic in a 55 mile per hour zone, but we were going 75! YIKES! sam
