There was no tv at our house until I was about 9. We read or played a sport outside. Dad liked Groucho. Later Bonanza. Mom liked Man With a Camera because she knew the star. We had opera, standard hits, Dad liked patty paige. Mom also liked Country & Western, there were symphonies - everything.Mom liked big band era; had seen them all. Loved to sing. We kids watched Howdy Doody and Mickey Mouse, Casper the Ghost, Bugs Bunny. Then it was news time and we did homework.

My biological parents loved Country and Western music! It was the only music allowed in the house and to this day I despise C&W music! sam

My mother loved to Bonanza, Gran Ole Opry, Hee Haw, Wild Wild West and Rockford Files among others. There was one show we both loved to watch together Knots Landing.
