Re: sam444
Thank you, sam. It's something I rarely do, as if there was a taboo on it. I forget, sometimes it's good to break the rules, or rather, there are no rules at times. :)

Re: Kabu
You are too funny, dear Kabu! Seeing you and Naut in agreement is so great! I also thought it would be great fun, because I also had seen a movie at the theater when I was 5, and I remember pyramids and treasure from that! But on the real dig it was hot, and one stayed out in the dust, baking. You helped so many in nursing, and still do. How great is that?

Re: Nautikos
Thanks, Naut! I had a beautiful book about all about archeology when I was about 9, and my dad took me, along with two others, on a nearby dig when I was 15. It was all very interesting, but I do remember being hot, dusty and thirsty! I observed. Still, a fun thing to experience.

I love how you opened the poem! It really sets the stage but it also lets the reader know there is history although we are not privy to it! That makes it more engrossing because the reader can actually become part of the poem and have their own history! Well done! sam

RP
Great poem! It also reminds me - when I first read about Mycenae (my Dad had a couple of books about it) I wanted to become an archeologist...

You had asked the other day why the collective desire in Man's quest for the divine. It is because we were once a part of that divine, and now have traversed a long path since. Suppose you lose something that was once yours, only then will the disire to find it will arise. That, I believe, answers, collective yearning.
