I love the dandelions they are a completely different flower to the Australian dandelion and yes they grow all over our grass and rabbits, ground squirrels skunk and who knows what else feed on them with relish. I have planted my gardens down to wild flowers for the Monarch butterflies, the bumble and ordinary bees the humming birds etc. Not quite as pretty as the annuals but they come back each year and the animals are the most important.
You will love this My Sam I am...I grew a huge tomato plant last summer. it draped everywhere and had fruit BUT before it was really ripe a black bear came in and without harming anything delicately ate off every one of those tomatoes.

Last year, I tried to get solar power at my house. They could not do it because of the trees. They suggested either cutting the limbs or cutting down the trees. I did not want to change the look or spend the money. Plus, any electricity I could save would be wasted by taking away the trees.

I'm all for flowers, but dandelions kill the grass...and even worse, they travel easily and spread to the neighbor's yard. They're hard to control once you let them out of control. Maybe you can just plant some real flowers? :)

My grandmother used tell my dad to stop the car along the side of the road so she could gather the wild dandelions to fry up with olive oil and garlic! My poor dad wouldn't want to do it, I could tell, even as a child, but he did obey his Mama! And they always smelled so good cooking...
