Re: strat
Yes, that's part of being human, I think. Probably a good sign...

Hi Presta the poetess
I once wrote something that you mention. Probably the title was postcard, but I remember not much of what I wrote. Your close, "I am closing that door" appealed to me a lot.

Re: sam444
Thanks, sam. Some of it was real, some was in my memory's trunk.

Re: Troosha
I don't have many 'things' either. Those I have are little treasures, not monetarily, psychologically. This poem was also about mental images. Thank you for stopping by, Troosha.

Re: Kabu
One never knows down the road of time who will give a good damn, dear Kabu, and I'll bet there will be those descendants of yours who do care, that take after you. Things are just things, but 'things' of and from the heart are different. You will see. Five grandchildren is a great legacy for the world.

I don't hang on to many things but I do have a few bits and pieces around my place that take me back to another time - sometimes sad, sometimes happy. Lovely poem!

I hold my memories close in my heart knowing none who come behind will give a damn.
I dust and cherish a life time of collecting, things that I love dearly that enrich my life. Np one will want them they will end on e-bay one day. It won't matter for 5 Grandchildren are the legacy I will leave this world.

You are not the first to ask RP. The more we learn the the less we want to keep that door open. I like this.
