It does seem you are into good times Sam. It is nice really after all you suffered a few years ago. Those terrible headaches and worries . You are very resilient, a true modern
survivor. i salute you.

I need so much done to my place but especially in the bathroom, the job that was done in there before I bought it was half ass and the bathtub is all stripped down to the enamel and the floor is getting weak. I keep hoping to be able to afford it to be done and wish I knew someone to do it for me. i had a man that was doing handy man things for me but dissapeared a long time ago. So meanwhile I cover it with those bathtub mats and try spraying it with paint but that doesnt last. Good luck to you and your family on your remodeling

Those are the good kind of problems to have! Good to see you're back!
Best advice I can give you on a kitchen remodel... the standard is to hold back on paying the last 10% until they finish the punch list (all the "little stuff"). And get it into the contract if you can. They will say the job is complete yet miss a molding, or filling nail holes, or any other kind of annoying nonsense that they need to return to finish. They'll say they'll be back in a day to finish up, but if you pay in full, you may never see them again.

Hiya, Sam! I like that opener also from "Tale of Two Cities." Glad to see you're back. The kitchen remodel for you, being a smaller job, I think it's fine to go with Home Depot. But, as you say, for your daughter, you have pointed out the best option. And congrats to you son! That's fantastic!

Good to read y are back my Sam I am. We got a home depot kitchen one time when the gov would give us 1500 off our tax if we spent that much...so we did. I could have done with one more lot of side boards but am happy with what we got. Tis a small kitchen.
