Re: Annicita

Hah! You've got a great idea there, and the guts to do it! I applaud you. Thank you!

Re: WileyJohn

Thanks Wiley, so glad you liked it, sing-songy or not! I like stuff like this myself, and it has nothin' to do with age!

Re:GoldenMean

Hi there, GM! May I call you GM? Glad you enjoyed it! Actually, I like singy-songy poems too! Glad you liked the ending also. Thank you so much!

RP

Actually,  I like singy-songy poems like this one.  And it is well written,  and the little prize at the end was heart-warming,  when you called this place home,  among us gnomes!  Delightful

Re: L'il Bro Aba

Well, heck, y'all! It's the silly side of me! Tis me Gypsy mam who read to me before I could speak; R .L. Stevenson, A Children's Garden of Verses. I then read her poetry books as a child, along with the dictionary, the want-ads, and anything else handy... My father had poetry books in German but I couldn't read German. LOL! My grandfather read poetry in Italian. Me, on a good day I can speak a little English! Thank you, dear Aba, very much! I appreciate your kindness.

My big Sis

This poem is like a gift, gave me so much fun and pleasure at once. It has an unmistaken metre running along simultaneously, but then dear Presta, poetry comes to you Gypsylike, that is, naturally. 'nother Kudos!

Re: BC-A

Thank you, Bill. This is good information from you. How interesting a film trivia club must be! I'm sorry about your hospital bills... What a shame!

Re: Kabu

You're welcome, but I thank you, dear Kabu. This ain't much... In this one, all I'm saying is that online one never knows who is whom; occasionally on some websites I have seen cruel comments; and I am actually lambasting what at times is my own sense (real or perceived) of inadaquacy here. I shall try to express myself more clearly. I, at times, fight with my English, having heard two languages from infancy.

Re: chuck_ibrahim

Actually, I'm so surprised to hear that, Chuck! Really. But I'll take it! LOL! Thank you for the kind advice and I will always remember it and try to follow through doing so.

Re: C_C_T

Well, thank you, CC! My sis also isn't too keen on poetry; umm, let's say she hates it. I certainly don't sit around reading it every spare minute that I have, though it wouldn't hurt me to do so... That's funny what you say abou the writer not knowing what the heck (s)he's saying; I get the same feeling much of the time. Simple and honest, not a formula for success, right? I'm too clutzy to have ever been much of a pole dancer, though. LOL.

it's fantastic and really lovely and thank you as a blogit Gnome. Much appreciated...Oh and like some art on a canvas I do not always understand what the artist is expressing.

Blogit, being a pay site's an excellent project in a group sometimes the size of a small class or club. In fact, my night manager runs a film trivia club tursday nighta with as many visitors in the store cafe as we have. Only, when I studied for exams in the last decade, I didn't work, living on my inheritance because I couldmn't find a job. My hospital bill finally demanded I find one. Blogit's a legitimate media project for a class as well love.

Actually, I like it! Always write what you feel and keep your heart free

posted by Chuck_E_Ibrahim on May 19, 2017 at 8:20 AM | link to this | reply

Well i don't know much about poetry RP. Hardly ever read any of the classics. Don't really like it a lot. I am probably too lazy to even try to imagine what the writer is rabbitting on about. I am sure most of the time the writer does not know either. At least what you write is honest and one cannot help liking it and you even if you have been a pole dancer. Of course also because you write nice things about what I write.
