Re: Re: Re: Nautikos

Si! Hah! Polskie! Yes, the write is reminiscent of Verdi's La Forza..., now that you mention it! Must be from hearing all those operas as a child. :) Polskie. Tak. Polak jest dobry. Moja mama była pół polska lub wschodnioeuropejska. Oder deutsche Werke.

Re: Re: Nautikos

Your poem brought to mnd Verdi's La Forza del Destino, since there's a lot of sooth-saying involved. So I wrote my answer in -- Polish...

My wife is from Thailand,  so I know enough Thai to either stay out of trouble,  or sometimes get into trouble!  Those phrases are  "Thank you",  Good luck",  and  "I love you".  Cheers

Re: GM

Hi, GM! No, no name calling. Naut merely told me what he thought of my poem, and I thanked him. I believe your language could be a form of Hindi, and if so, that last phrase is a "Whoa!" Naut, what's the language in which you wrote your comment? Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan? LOL!

OK you two, stop it

Now I just know that you two must be calling me bad names,  in that furrin language of yers,  LOL.  Actually,  I am wondering,  what language is it,  and what did you say?  In response,  I will say  "kop khun kop"  and  "chok dee"  and  "chan lak khun".  Now,  what language do you think that is??  You tell me yours,  and I wll tell you mine.....  Cheers

Re: Kabu

Thanks so much, S. Sister. I'm glad you liked the ending. At one point I was going to go with the plural, Fates, as in the Three Fates, but I would have veered further off the track than I had meant to anyway. :) I may post a bit more on this later. So sweet of you to comment so positively.

Re: GM

Thank you. Yes, GM, most probably do mean no harm, and they, at least, believe what they are saying, but traditionally fraud and deception have reigned supreme. What name one choses to ascribe to those whose actions are less than honorable is a matter of personal opinion and belief, though it is, to me, the opposite of good. And yes, you read me correctly.

Re: GM

Thank you, GM! The genesis of this poem is interesting and I may post something about it. In this poem's content I am, on one level, simply presenting a thought process to arrive at 'Who knows?'

Re: CCT

Thank you, CCT. To answer your question, it's all relative to what one's concept is of 'easy.' Because it's not advanced mathematics, a debated quantum theory or a structured canto, in that sense, yes, to me this is sorta easy. :) And a bit of fun.

I wonder if it takes imagination to believe the gypsy's reading of your palms. Stare in 'em yourself.

Yes I guess you hit the nail on the head RP. A myriad things will happen tomorrow, one might involve you.  Quite an interesting poem, I wonder does it come easy, your poems do appear to be well thought out.

I think that most of the astrologers,  tarot card readers,  palm readers,  psychics  etc.,  have good intentions,  and their skill may be great.  But they have fallen for the deceptions of evil,  as I think you may imply.  This was subtle,  and I had to read your poem again to see this.

posted by GoldenMean on June 5, 2017 at 3:56 AM | link to this | reply

Excellent poem.  It seems to deify Fate,  but what is Fate?  This implies that Something or Someone,  somewhere,  is in control of our ultimate destiny.  I think we determine our own Fate,  and the sooner we realize it,  the better.  Also,  your poem leaves out the diabolical deceptions of evil people,  which can detour or hijack our Fate,  if we let them.  Cheers
