Thank you, Naut! Glad you found it interesting, as I nearly left out the explanation. I do know where the Rive Gauche is located, :) and can imagine the temptation you felt to visit and wander down the streets there, while across the Pond. Thanks for the haiku explanation. I'll bet you and Bennie enjoyed a nice hike in the woods.

Very interesting poem! I am somewhat familiar with the Rive Gauche (the Left Bank of the Seine in Paris) and was tempted to drop in when I was in Europe, but as I mentioned, I resisted temptation and stayed in Hamburg with a trip to Berlin and a few other places...Oh, and my haiku was inspired by a hike in the woods with Bennie, shortly after the Sun came out after a rain...
