Re: Re: Re: Kabu

I wasn't a hippie in any sense of the word either. Had my little ones also. But I was there in SF at times and the feel of "that scene" could be experienced freely by all who wished to observe, as well as participate. The freedom came from within, I think.

Re: Re: Kabu

i think an inner me yearned to embrace some aspects but I didn't drink smoke anything nor try pills and had my little guys to take care of. Later when the povement was over for most people I found my own way to let my spirit free.

Re: C_C_T

Thank you, CCT! Well, no, I wasn't hip enough to be a hippie! As to it being my scene, I saw it... lol!

Thank you, Wiley. It does seem so, now that you mention it.

Re: Kabu

I was never a Hippie, but wanted to be hip. Was in SF and saw the Hippie Culture first hand, or what was later called the Hippie Culture. It was a different time, but most meant well.

Re: Nautikos

Thank you, Naut, it was part of the mood of the times. I'd need an entire post to answer your question, but no, uhh, not exactly! It was a fun time, and I saw the film.

RPresta

That poem is rather like a blending meditation love.

RP

Your poem captures that sense of light and lightness well! Did you ever see Hair on the stage?

Quite sweet RP. I'll make a wild guess it was not your scene. Of course it is now.

The best of the 60's for me. I was never a Hippie except that the values of peace and love have carried me through life much easier than without them.

Re: Thanks, dear brother Aba

Thank you so much. It may be a bit loquacious...  :) No, seriously, sometimes I just get carried away with a poem, or rather, it carries me away...

Wow to my dear sister Presta
