Yes very apt. Sadly I think people change, what was a charming dimple etc.
Remember Old Bill Shakespear . He was mad about a comely wench. When she was forty ,she had the hots for him, he was not amused, and rather cruel to her. Seriously though people do change, when most married more or less the same class and very often within walking distance they were probably suited to the same conditions. Expectations were not high, etc. OK an interesting theory .
