- Go to I have Atrial Fibrillation!
Well Bro both my brothers have it and receive treatment also my sister , Arthur said I had got it one day but the doctor said most miss a heartbeat now and again. My dad probably had it although there was no treatment in those days. It does not seem to affect my brothers although they are on the old version and have to have blood tests occasionally. You should be alright now you have been diagnosed. You may had had it for quite a time. Don't worry.

A very informative read. I have heard of Atrial Fibrillation from commercials on television but did not know much about it. I have learned a lot from your entry.

I'm sure that mine stems back to 1995 when I had a myocardial infarction from being on too much thyroid medication. Such is life. The worst time with it though was in February of this year when pneumonia exacerbated what I already had. Meds now control that, but I have all the symptoms of heart failure that keep me from being and doing my best.

Thank you for this very informative article. I have had a heart-rhythm problem many years, but I have never had it diagnosed. It usually happens when I'm over-tired, but hasn't for quite some time now.

I know too well about it. It scares me. (My mom had it and didn't know... she ignored the signs so it caused her stroke and death.) But it's good that you know you have it and they are giving you the right meds. It seems very treatable. I know two other people living with it quite well! Just take those meds!! :)

It's a task to keep it regulated, dear Wiley, and you have Kabu to look after you. I'm sorry you have it. It's frightening. I think the calmer you remain the better it is for you. We all want to be well.
