Thank you for your kind responses. Lately I find myself in a pathos laden funk and I hope it changes, but I know complaining doesn't really help and I would rather make something sweet, something..nice?..out of the pain. And isn't that the thing about poetry? The author has to make you feel, hopefully, what you feel? And visualize what you see with words? I am woefully lacking in education compared to others but I have always loved reading and writing poetry is a release I discovered helps keep me sane. Peace

I am so sorry. This is so well written that having read what you wrote before the poem, I found myself reading it very slowly so that I absorbed every detail and that was certainly the best way for me to read. Thank you.

Vivid. (I don't like to use the word "imagery" to describe a poem like this. It doesn't do it justice.) Evocative. Painful. Very well-told. And I'm feeling so sorry for this to have happened...
