Where are you, Naut
Well, it has been about 7 or 8 months since your fond farewell..... We are having fun without you, but it would be more fun WITH you again. You said you might "pop in" sometime, and I think it is time!! Why don't you go ahead and renew your membership, so that you can "pop in" whenever you get the urge? Myself, I will go a month or two with no posts, but then I will start reading others again, make some comments, and start posting again. It goes in cycles for me, like many other things in life. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you, and I am sure others are too. Cheers

Nautikos, my friend...
So I have a few problems for a month or so, and when I come back here, you are gone!!!??? What the hell happened here on Blogit, or was it things that happened with you, away from Blogit?? I was just getting ready to get back into the flow here, and I find that my best friend is gone.... wow, how can I go on here myself?? I don't know, I will have to retreat, regroup, and reconsider, after I land on the tarmac in Bangkok, because I am leaving tomorrow on my yearly trek to Thailand, the land of my wife's birth, and my second country...... as Europe seems to be yours....... Cheers

Dang, Naut,
I can't ever remember being on Blog It without seeing your posts. You are a terrific writer and for my part, a terrific guy and I'll miss reading you. I don't comment a whole lot these days, indeed, don't post a whole lot, but it's been a good place to wander in and out of and I hope you wander your way back home, as it were.
I do have to say that I agree with you -- the erosion of reasoned debate is severe everywhere, even here, and sadly it has been that way for some time and I don't see a reversal of that. And that's not only a shame, it's probably one more death knell to a once strong society.

I am happy we spoke on the telephone today, and sorry you won't change your mind about coming back to Blogit. I am sorry I couldn't always understand what you wrote but my eigth grade eduction hadn't prepared me for the lofty air of university speak but that wasn't your fault but it made me a bore to try and undestand me I know. Do come back to Blogit, I see it almost as your duty to press on with your higher ability of being able to try and educate we the less fortunately educated.With love for you as a brother my friend.

What is the point of taking out the broom these days. No Nautikos in Blogit equals no point in bombing him with the broom.
What is the point as so many friends disappear out of a person's life.
I am sad, just sad and you will be missed more than you will be prepared to believe.

Hi, Naut. Of course I am sorry to see you go, but I feel there are not enough bloggers here who share the same dedication as you do to the perilous potential.
You put so much effort into it and you have given us some very interesting features .I also would like to thank you for your kind appraisal of some of my poems. One day I shall look back and select the ones that you approved of. I do think you are genuine and it sometimes easier to be not so. Give a pat to Bennie from me. And may all your troubles be little ones.

When I first moved to Blogitsville, you were in the midst of dissecting squid aboard a Japanese fishing vessel, and scooping rice with your bare hands from a communal vat (yuck); then I learned a bit of astralphysics, and delighted in bending my mind around some free radicals perhaps at the temperature of sun auras, or some such thing. I learned more of international machinations; how to distinguish a Suni from a Sufi, and decided if I'd like some recipes you'd posted. I cried inside for the geese when they disappeared, and followed Bennie's progress from his incident with the other dog he met. It wasn't all about politics or religions. You're an interesting writer who has something to say. So, perhaps you could reconsider, and stick around a while longer. There is much yet left undone. But if this is ciao, then grazie ringrazio. And yes, Pavarotti is a great.

Of course I've been missing you. How could I not. It seems that these days I can't seem to concentrate on anything that makes my brain work too hard. But, I am thankful for all the years that you have been here and I will not forget you. Maybe some day you will come back. Ribcage asked me just the other day why I had not been sharing your writings with him like I used to and I explained to him that recently there had been nothing new to share. Now I do, and he will be pleased that you remembered him in your comments. I will spend my time with cabbages and kings and think often of you.
