I am so glad that you put your Mum in a good nursing home. I know it is terribly expensive, but it will always be a source of comfort to you as you remember her care.
I have seen houses snatched away and the poor parent pushed into care homes that one would dislike immediately.

Sadly, my mother lasted in a nursing home for less than a month. She was rushed to a hoepital. There she took a turn for the worst.

Bless you Taps, it's so nice to hear from you. I haven't posted for a long time; I'm currently by myself in a B&B near my sister's home. Can't stay there, her son is home from Australia for as long as it takes, but I need to be in this area to be near my mother. I thought being married to my ex was hard, but this has turned out to be harder. xx

I hate to hear of your sadness with loved ones. My sympathy is with you regarding your sister. I lost a younger sister to cancer in 1991. It was so hard for me to lose her so quickly so I understand how you are sad. Sorento sounds like a lovely place to recoup.
