It is a very sad time, especially when families get together for holidays and the lights and decorations are so beautiful. I have never been to a happy funeral. But the Lord promises a resurrection to all and we shall all meet again.

I am sorry to read this except for the prayer that I have that it is healing for you. For me I find that I go along just fine with life and out of nowhere it seems grief for one of those that I loved overcomes me and it is so good to just sit and remember. Perhaps cry but to remember good times together. That is the best.

Thank you for sharing this. Whatever beliefs any of us have about what, if anything, follows death, it is the grief of loss that tears at the heart. I hope it helps you to share it as much as it is good for me to hear it, against the day I again am having to cope with it.
