Your handle is OverTheRainbow, so I hope I can call you OTR for short. I agree with you. I generally hold that reincarnation is the most logical solution for any semblance of justice in the world, and that the goal is to get out of the cycle of reincarnation, to move on and away from this chaotic world, and the Bible teaches some excellent ways to do that. Over in Religion and Spirituality, I have some blog posts about Jesus in India, and I hope to finish my writings there about Jesus on Karma and Grace, soon. I do try to do this. I always ask the receiver not to tell anyone. I give anonymously as well but sometimes finding a problem within ones community that you can do something about, will involve physical presence. it does grate when someone asks for thanks in a loud voice.

Each has their own beliefs on this, and I don't comment on belief's of religion or politics. To me, however, it sounds like the writer is saying to not be a braggart.
