The employers knew their employees intimately, especially two things about them. One, they enjoyed guns. Two, they were mature and responsible enough to be trusted with owning a gun. And third, giving a gun is a gift of personal protection. In all, it was a powerful and eloquent statement of the employer's trust in their employees, and the employer's support for the protection of their employees, and the protection of their employees' families. Actually, it is a very touching and moving act of faith and validation on the part of the employers. They paid to their employees the ultimate compliment and "pat on the back". I suppose this ultimate gift would not be possible in India...... what a shame!

Yes, interesting and rare, these days. I have heard of banks in Texas offering a rifle or pistol as a bonus for opening a large CD, and the anti-gunners always protest it. They should mind their own business. The owner of this business said he got protests, but that's life. A good attitude, that.

Thanks, and me too. Owning a gun comes with a huge responsibility, to follow safety precautiions and procedures to prevent accidents.

The owner definitely knows his employees well. And the gift he gave works well for him, and them. First time I've ever heard of that though. Really interesting.
