OMG? I went to the hospital to visit my friend that had surgery today!!! and from there I went to my parents house, where I proceded to do my dad's laundry!, clean (sweep and mop included)_ the whole house! and after which I took the garbage out! My grand daughter ( 6 MOS ) was crying all day and when I opened my cabinets to make dinner this afternoon they were almost empty( because my freaking house guests had been eating all day long!) Does all that mean Im going to be poor on 2020???? lol Just teasing you ( though I really wish I tould have read you yesterday 
lol )

I grew up hearing versions of some of these. My mom carried on many sayings of the old ones, and actually, so did my father. Yet they were of different cultures. Happy New Year to you and yours.
