While I was reading this post, I was picturing teenagers with a bucket of water and a hand written sign saying "Car Wash $1.00" and then my mind went to the car wash lady from the movie "Cool Hand Luke".  LOL

Cali has enacted some new privacy laws but the burden is on the consumer to opt out. Therefore, nothing is new. If your customers consent, then it is okay - a lot easier than stickers. LE might be interested in viewing or reviewing certain plates info also at some time.

Technology is mind boggling. I guess that it comes down to, whatever works in saving a buck.

It sounds like that would be a proper decision and an increase in cash.

One of my sons believes the govt is spying on all of us, all the time.

He doesn't like the traffic cams, the security cameras in big box stores, or the fact that the authorities can pinpoint your location if you're carrying your cell phone. Since he visited a couple days ago his comments are fresh in my mind - I'm wondering how he'd react to having car washes - and maybe gas stations - keep track of his license #.
