Celeste 632, Thank you for your wise comments. I don't get to read and
write as much as I did, but it is good to hear from you again. Have a blessed day!

Sammy Jean, you are right, it is so sad that youth is wasted on the
young, but as we grow older, if we learn to grow older gracefully, then we may be old in years, but we can truly be young at heart and in mind!

I am going to be 52 and am an empty - nester and all I can say is
FREEDOM, SWEET FREEDOM, I love it! Look at what other silver haired lions have done with their lives after the age of 50 or 60! Now you can let the real you out! Now it is time to be yourself or maybe discover who you really are! I went to a Doobie Brothers consert in October...what a revelation.. a sea of silver hair rocking out! lol So sad youth is wasted on the young!

Happy Birthday!
I am forty-five--and some days so amazed to have gradeschool aged children, with the youngest in first grade--when many people my age are grandparents. I think they keep me young, although somedays I feel quite aged.

Happy Birthday...
In just a few more months (Sept.) I'll be just a year away from fifty. Sometimes I feel much older though, maybe closer to seventy.
Anyway, Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday!
Just wanted to share that I can definitely identify with that feeling of transition. I'm 56 and every day seems more precious than the one before. I'm expecting a job assignment in Iraq shortly. But I'd much rather just stay here and write.
