That entire day, including flight 93 was a most horrific event.
The crash site is not too far from our home. We have visited Shanksville twice in the past few years. The last time that we visited, all of the shrines had been taken down. There is now a wall with the names of the victims sitting near where the plane went down. Thankfully, there is no longer a huge hole in the ground that once served as a gruesome reminder of that tragic accident.
