- Go to 32, 9: Should a wife or one of their children tell a father what happened?
As a parent that is one thing that worked for me and the their father. We were always able to discuss any troubles together but when I was a single parent into their teens the boys and I talked things through. Their teen years were pretty easy actually.

I think it would really depend on the character of the father,

Re: ily Gypsy

Emotional intelligence guides sensitively communication in families at the appropriate times. Your childhood home had the right stuff. Excellent.

There are times a wife can tell the Dad about things and times the children want to tell about things. Growing up, there were times my mom “softened” the incident and times she did not but told my dad whatever it was. There were times I was so excited to tell Daddy about something that I could hardly wait until he came home! I’m glad then that my mom let me tell it.

Re: FormerStudentIntern
One might be embarrassed or the cause to be the communicator. Isn't it true?

Re: Annicita
Any my dear, it's just an issue. It's refers to family communication in headline space. You're too specific in taking the question on a level of family effectiveness. There are training courses that teach a formula for problem solving, and in my question, just a situation - any. It's the same formula for communication. The question makes sense. Lower your defenses and own interests to understand it. The discussions do simulate thinking for writers. Thank you.

Well, I'm not sure since the question doesn't state what the problem was.
