- Go to Has balancing time b/w job & family improved for career woman single parent
I think being a single parent is hard no matter what the circumstances. I'm sure at times single parents feel very alone. Everything falls on their shoulders and there's no one to help them on a day-to-day basis. I worked while I was raising my children but my husband was always there when I needed him. When he would get laid off from his job I would work two jobs and I never minded. I was a lot younger then. It was nice to have him at home handling all the household duties and the children. I wouldn't have been able to do it by myself.

I expect it always feels pretty hard going.

I believe it varies depending on the person.

I would imagine that being a single parent and managing between personal time and career would be tiring and hard. Of course, when you are young, anything is possible.
