Actually I am very lucky. Karen comes upstairs everyday and helps out enormously - doing the dishes, playing with the beasts, cleaning up....makes things much easier.

There are 2 chimneys here, Goldiec. One for the kitchen/dining area stove
and another for the fireplace in the living room. Your Thanksgiving is later than ours, and I believe celebrated more like we do Christmas up here. The turkey for that is already bought (on sale) and in the freezer. I'll have to start doing my Xmas food baskets very soon!! My beasts love the kitchen smells at this time of year.

because if I don't, it is forgotten very quickly. Yep - what we could do in a day when young mothers was pretty awesome when looking back on it!

We're a huggy family too. Can't beat a warm smile and hug.
Maybe I have to be so busy because I've slowed down considerably from what I once was able to do? Now it takes me all day to accomplish what once would have taken an hour or two.

High darling. I feel dreadful when I think of what you can do in a day. For me it is 15minutes to do something and then sit down for an hour. I hardly get anywhere in a day and all I really want to do is sleep. Every day I miss Wiley more. Jim is a doll and works hard to keep me smiling but nobody else will ever be Wiley.

All this technology is supposed to make life easier. A part of me pines for days when technology was simpler and not as finicky.

Good Morning
We are busy getting ready for winter too. There's so much to do. How many chimneys do you have at your house? I've been busy planning Thanksgiving and I just went this morning and bought chicken broth for my stuffing. There's a certain kind I use every year and I'm afraid they will sell out of it. I'm so glad you get to see your Little Flea every other day. She is such a delight and I know you love spending time with her. I've been busy planning my cookies and I have to plan our Thanksgiving meal well in advance and especially this year when our grocery store shelves are looking a little bare. Our turkeys will be higher priced but not as bad as I thought they'd be. Good Luck with your studies. I'm so glad that you are working from home. I know your fur babies love it. I'm so happy to know someone that loves snow as much as me. I think there's something exciting about a snowy day and the first snowfall is without a doubt the best.

Your post reminds me of the time I was a working mom, single again,
and taking a half-load of college classes. Lucky thing my kids were 8 and 13 (the last two at home with me) and I was able to recruit them to my team to help with a few chores around the house and they had the initiative to get to their homework because they saw their mom hitting the books... Example, I found out accidentally, works ten times better than nagging. I know you're too busy, but it would be a good idea to keep a daily journal, if only a paragraph or two. One day you'll want to remember some detail or maybe write a memoir for your beloved little ones...

I really like the virtual hugs. We have always been a hugging family, so it fits right in to my way of thinking. I can't imagine being as busy as you are. I used to be, but I am definitely out of the habit anymore and never to return to that way of life again.
