We’ve had those for years here in the UK of course, so we’re all very well-behaved ... I think the French are more used to them now than a few years ago but as TAPS says, the Place de L’Etoile, the Arc de Triomphe is something else entirely!

Good afternoon

The issue with roundabouts is that there are too many new drivers, texting drivers, and those who are confused about who has the right away. If common sense came with them, I would be all for roundabouts.

all city traffic is no fun, especially at the times of school drop-off and pick-up and when the work day finishes for so many offices etc. roundabouts are kinda scary until one gets used to the ones they use regularly.

FSI

The craziest that I ever did was the Paris Arc de Triomphe roundabout.

Fortunately I was not the driver so I could look around.  Right in the middle of all the mess was a little old gray-haired lady on an old bicycle moving on and not a bit perturbed.

Well, traffic lights are a bit of a pain, so I suppose one has to put up with the other way.

Good Afternoon

FSI, I've never liked roundabouts but I do see what you mean about keeping traffic going.
