Thank you. Bless you, and I want to say that this poem is not about my feelings on whether or not a person cares to, or does or doesn't, accumulate money, per se. I wrote this long ago when remembering something I had overheard my dad say to a relative when I was a child regarding another very wealthy relative. "Soiled riches" in my context here refers to the term, dirty money. Money ill-gotten. My father wanted nothing to do with that.

Dear Sis,
I never hankered for accumulating money, but it came to me by way of inheritance. It did bring me joy for a while and I’m still the same when it was short. I believe all is looked after by god. A good poem indeed.🇾🇪

Thank you, darling. It's good to be comfortable and safe. The point here is about how some wealth is attained and the poem stems from something I had overheard my dad say when I was a little girl.

Yes I agree. I have had money; not a King's ransom but I big enough inheritance and savings to be comfortable. i have given away the money and forgiven those who were determined they should have it, not me. I asked my God to keep me safe and I have never wanted since then. Not wealth, but enough in my pocket to never accumulate debt so long as I am sensible.
