Re: Re: Sea Gypsy
Yes, it is as sickening as your think. They had the mayor of Los Angeles out to the plant and had him drink a glass of the water. He looked like it was all he could do to choke it down. I drink bottled water and it irks my kids. A plumber told me it is safe to drink the water here because there are so many purifying chemicals in it! Right. Cemetery water is not appealing either!

I do feel there are a lot of ways in which we could save water. I see some places going with waterless urinals. That should save a lot of water.

Re: Ms judy
Hi Judy, As a boy I visited a relative in Oxford . My Aunt live in a new house at that time.
A portion of the roof was a large tank which collected rain water. I suppose it never took on
but as the population increases, a job to put a quart into a pint pot. 🌷

Re: Kabu
Well Kabu the sea is supposed to rise as warming effects take place.
Perhaps we shall be able to open the door and dip a bucket in the salty brine.🌷🌷

Well in the old days most of the cottage gardens were fertilized with human waste.
It was not pleasant to pass by when this operation was in progress.
That was a really good experiment no harmful ingredients used in the process. 🌷

Re: Sea Gypsy
Oh dear one would think, well never mind. Even here some drink bottled water.
Funny in a way when I was young we had a well, funnier or rather disturbing
to think that the cemetery looms twenty or so feet higher !2 or so houses away. 🌷

We live in a city where all the wastewater is recycled. It sounds unbelievable but there are treatment plants and a portion of it then becomes our drinking water. The rest is used for public green areas. It’s disgusting to think about but shows what is possible. Plus, it is cost effective because the water company charges us for that water. Desalination works well in some areas but one must be careful not to disturb the ecosystem in fragile environments.

IDEAS
IT'S OBVIOUS WE ALL NEED IMPROVEMENTS IN THE USE OF WATER
BUT AS WE ALL KNOW WHO EVER HAS THE GOLD MAKES THE RULES
I TRIED AN EXPERIMENT USING CLOVE AND CINNAMON IT WORKED TO
DISOLVE WASTE IN A PORTA POTTY AND YOU WERE FEFT WITH LIQUID
THEN USE IT FOR FERTALIZER.. MY THOUGHTS~ FEMIA

You are such a dear my friend. Yes, there has to be a way and with the old dart being an Island, why not desalinate sea water for toilet use throughout the land!

Yes, it sure would. If they could make it where the wastewater went to flush the toilets and water the lawns and flowers and a separate one for all of our other needs, such as bathing, drinking, cooking etc
