Re:
All done and all healed now for the eyes, and Sam and Pistache are also doing well. Yes - hard to get better than that!

It was the doctor who chose for me, Ciel. She told me I would be able to do
without glasses after both eyes were done - she only does one at a time. I'll be under the 'knife' again within 2 to 6 weeks. Are you happy with the results now though?

There is a long waiting list here too CCT, about 2 years.
I believe they moved me ahead because I am still working, and my work requires long hours in front of a computer. It was near the point where it would be difficult to continue without the procedure. Doctors are few and far between now, in some places more than others. We may have to resort to the remedies of our grandmothers!

The heartworm and flea preventions make most animals feel off for a
few hours, I believe. Mine react the same, but it doesn't take long until they re-energize. I hate when they don't feel well.

Thank you for saying that, FSI.
More than one person told me they could see great immediately afterwards, and I worried because I could not. Turns out they had cataracts removed but didn't have the eye lens replaced, which takes just a little longer.

Haha - but Graysome did not agree!!
It is amazing what doctors can do, isn't it? They showed me the lens they were using before the surgery, and it is so tiny!! I'm looking forward to ditching the glasses!

Apparently everything will be much better when it is
all healed up! And no more glasses fogging up when coming inside from the cold during the winter!

I believe it went well, Pat. I am still not able to see 100% with it
but that will come after a few days, they say. What I am finding most difficult is the not bending over or lifting - my beasts' dishes are on the floor and it is woodstove time, so I have to keep reminding myself to NOT do those things.

When I had that cataract surgery, I may have made a mistake in opting for seeing long distance unaided. My brain spent a lifetime set for the other way, and it took quite a while for me to adapt to not being able to see close up unaided. Were I choosing today, I'd go the other way! Good luck with your experience, and here's hoping it will be just right for you!

Yes better to get your mince pies done now you are relatively youngish.
It is a bit sad that animals do not a longer life span, but nice to think they
had a good life. It is a b, nightmare to get cataracts fixed here
One lady I know made two journeys to hospitals and was rejected although
it was already booked in . Later she had to go to another one and that
was cancelled so she is not bothering to have her eyes fixed.
Floods of immigrants. Also many of our Doctors go abroad for better
terms and we have the reverse Doctors from poor countries, which
really need them.

Good Evening
I'm so glad that Sam is okay. I know he was so stressed going to the vet and I can just imagine how happy he was to go home. I'm saying prayers for you and hoping all goes well. Thankfully everyone at home will be taken care of while you are recuperating. Our Sadie gets heartworm and flea medicine from the vet. Every time it's time for her to take her medicine she gets a little under the weather. We've started giving Sadie vitamins that seems to be helping her. I hope you have a good night.

That's great news about Sam there. Happy it's passed through him.
Wishing you well with the cataract surgery. My dad has had both eyes done, and it has been a godsend for him.

Smiling back attcha darling. Glad you are getting the cataracts done. Mine are getting to that stage. I can't see mush at all but still good with the laptop. I had good distance a while ago but no more. Love you and so very relieved Sam is OK. Remember his tail wagging like a silly mut when he got his nose close to Graysome. He really wanted to be friends.

Good dog! I hope your cataract surgery goes as well as mine did. I had to have my son drive me home afterward, but I could have done it myself. Amazing few days afterward looking at the brilliant colors of the world, the greens of trees and grasses, etc.
