I thought I would be clever last year and grew Sweet Peas in a tunnel.
They did well until the green fly attacked them and then it was curtains.
Professionals do plant the seed in Autumn to acquire longer stalks.
Just watch out for the fly.🦋🦋

Re: Goldiec
I've grown sugar snap peas, the kind where you eat the whole pod, and they were moderately successful. Sweet peas, though, are grown for their flowers with a wonderful scent.

Good Evening
I've never grown peas, but I can imagine how good they are. My grandma used to make creamed peas and I remember how good they were. I have no idea what recipe she used.

We used to grow sweet peas as a frame around the vegetable garden. We'd string "ladders" of string between posts driven into the ground. As the pea vines climbed, the ladders became a wall of blooms. Your post brought that image to mind. Thank you.
