Good afternoon
I just read an interesting article about AI and that it is draining even more valuable resources. It covered a variety of energy drainers like Google’s new AI which uses 10x the amount of power as a traditional Google search. The global data centers that power AI platforms account for 2.5% to 3.7% of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions, surpassing the aviation sector. AI’s water usage is projected to hit 6.6B cubic meters by 2027. In 2018, before its AI development amped up, Google alone was already using 15.8B liters of water to cool its data centers. The Electric Power Research Institute predicts that AI will use as much as 9.1% of the country’s energy by 2030, and this only covers a small fraction of corporations dependent upon future developments that trade humans for AI.

I feel quite sure that Omaha is as comfortable a place to live as it is only because it is such a tree friendly city. It is drab in the winter but so full of green all Summer and skies are clear mostly all year around.

I suppose the future climate was not an election vote catcher. Jam today has always been priority. Of course weather patterns have changed , well they have here we have had periods of harsh winters and cool summers . The Romans grew grapes in England.
It would have been hard to grow grape vines commercially when I was young.
One went to the seaside hoping for a sunny day.
