Be careful on the road. If it ain't fire along that highway, it's probably smoke. My sis lives in Salem & I've got nephews around the Portland area & they report very high temps and dry conditions - lots of wind, too. I'd love to visit Seattle if I didn't have to get there. With my health issues, travel is off the to-do list.

I am looking forward to it! I spent a week in and around Anchorage a few years ago, and it was really exciting. This one goes up to Ketchikan, I think.

Wow! That should prove to be a really scenic trip. I have never been to Alaska, but we have friends who have, and they claim it is gorgeous.
