If you were born in a city on your travel route, most allow you to pick up your birth certificate the same day you apply or at least that is how it used to be before covid

A nice quiet weekend and I am sorry about the passport etc. I always get my Passport 6 months before it runs out, just in case!!

Aargh! What a bureaucratic BS nightmare. I lost my birth cert & found it in the glove compartment of my car under the registration/insurance paperwork after maybe 2 years. Must have taken it to the DMV to get one of those "smart" licenses they require for plane travel. According to Murphy's law, it will turn up the day after you receive the duplicate.

Well Ciel the problem is as one gets older as I have been told. things get more difficult to manage. I have four saving accounts with smallish amounts on balance, but it is so much aggro to convince that I am the owner that I tend to let sleeping dogs lie. You have travelled widely with no problems, I hope you can sort it, good luck.🌺

.....Sorry to be reading them all at the same time. Your father posts are very interesting. I am very sorry for all the trouble on getting your trip straightened out. Ever since I had all my travel stuff taken out of bag in Spain and the trouble I had getting that straightened out, I have never left the states again. It's too much trouble. There is plenty to see in the contiguous states. I hope you get it all taken care of in time.
