Re: Good Afternoon

Yes, you are so on point. It was a double lesson. Don’t scream for no reason, and don’t fool around with mechanical equipment unattended. Thank you.

Good Afternoon

Wow, you survived. When we are young, we are often curious.  Your mother got there in time. That was a lesson that you never forgot. One that protects you from harm to this day. Thanks for sharing,

Re: Sea-Gypsy.....

Omigod! What a horrifically awful sight for you to see as a kid - or as an adult, even. I was lucky. I just remembered now that the skin was all peely when the brown wrapping bandages that were on my arm over gauze came off.

Re: Kabu - Thank you.

Good you never did that. I was glad it was over and I learned not to do that ever again.

Re: Good afternoon

Thanks Sherri! Kids are fairly resilient and they pull off a lot of things. Hubby as a kid jumped out of a 20-foot walnut tree with his Superman cape on and broke his wrists. He also jumped off the roof of his house during a rock fight and got it in the face with a rock. Kids…

No wonder you screamed poor little girlie. I never did that though I was tempted. Fortunately. we only had the 32 V. electricity and that needed the batteries continuous charging to set off the machine.

That sounds incredibly painful. I'm glad you made out okay.

Good afternoon

Oh my God, no! I am so glad that you weren't injured beyond repair. Curiosity can be really dangerous at times. Childhood injuries seem to pair up with life lessons and growing pains. I once jumped off of our garage roof with an umbrella after watching Mary Poppins. Not only did it not work, but my ankle hurt for weeks after that bad judgment call. UmbrellaCrying faceGirl hug

Sea-Gypsy.....

.....How Awful.   I was a child in the days of the wringer washing machine.  My neighbor got her hand caught in the wringer and before she could stop it the skin and flesh was split between each finger.  She came to my mother for help and I'll never forget what that looked like.
