Nope! Not exactly.
Uhh, I'd need a refresher on that. What happened to me was weird. In 7th grade I was in an advanced math class and we learned algebra. That was early to learn it then. In 8th grade I continued to learn more algebra. It seemed very simple because of the way it was taught. Formulas. Do this, then this, then...etc. When I got to high school the method I'd learned was thrown out and NEW MATH was taught experimentally. I couldn't get it. It wasn't numbers; it was written and the numbers were written like words. They got rid of that version the next year but I never cared for math after that.

I enjoyed algebra in school for real, but don't remember much of it now.

Re: FSI.....
.....I had to laugh at the "repressed" part. I think that is what I did.

I am 39 and have forgotten most of the high school math I have learned. Factoring, figuring out when the trains collide and geometry are things that of which I have forgotten or perhaps more accurately repressed.

Good afternoon
Uh, oh. To date, I have not found a reason to use algebra. I find knowing how to read a tape measure useful, and basic math skills for balancing my checkbook, but other than that, I have no need for algebra. My brother took an advanced calculus course. Talk about some difficult math. 📐➕➗✖️
Basic algebra isn't too hard, but it is if you never learned it in school. Maybe this will help you out...https://www.mathsisfun.com/algebra/introduction.html
Good luck!
