Plastic is the norm now. I try to keep cash on me at all times. When the electric power or internet is down, using our plastic is impossible.

Some of the stores here do not accept cash. Well when one has to pay £5 for a small cake.

If I ever had small change I give it to the first person who sits looking sad, the last one I gave money to was a youngest lad. 'Can you afford it.' he asked. I watched him dive into the nearby Cafe for a coffee I expect.

Good Evening

FSI, I try to use smaller bills.  It's easier all the way around.  Delivery drivers usually cannot make that kind of change.

Although most people use their debits for purchases these days, some folks still carry cash. The majority of our stores in my area have signs posted that they will not accept $100 bills. There have been too many counterfeit bills streaming through the local businesses and the banks to trust them. 💸Girl hug
