I would not enjoy such an adventure these days - but when I was 20-ish it might have been a challenge I'd take on just for the chance to write home about it.

I'm sure they told them the secret is to dress in multiple layers, with cotton closest to the skin, wool in between, and something thermo on the outside. Our camp leader called it the onion dress. I love the cold, and would spent hours outside when young. Unfortunately my COPD restricts how long I can breathe in very cold weather now.

No interest in doing that. I loved winter in Canada but -45 below was time to stay inside for me.

Re: Goldiec

Same here, I prefer comfort to survival adventure! It's on Netflix.

Good Afternoon

Wow!  This show sounds good.  I know for sure I would never survive.  I can't handle cold and I can't handle hot!  I get cold in the house in my flannel nightie with the heat on along with the fireplace.  If I were there I would have to be in a safe house with thick insulated walls along with heat, food, communication, lots of books, and maybe some treats too.  Oh, and TV too.  I'm spoiled I know.  Oh and lots of blankets, pillows, warm socks, and my Sadie to keep me company. I would also need my computer so I could write and do my blog and check in with Facebook.  My friends would wonder where I was. I would not be venturing outside. I wonder if this show is on Hulu?  We don't have cable.

Re: CCT,

None around Reindeer Lake, but I saw a big herd of the flockers on a drive around here last week.🦃

Yes, one does not mind killing something if it can be eaten. I bet you did not see any turkeys.🦋
