Good Morning
Pat, I love these memories that you shared from when you were growing up. I hope you are staying warm. It is so cold here this morning and it's a rainy mess outside. I will be nursing my foot today while I recuperate. Caeser took our turkey out of the freezer this morning. It's only one day late because I was supposed to take it out yesterday. It's a twenty-pound turkey and I'm going to cook it on Wednesday.

My youngest brother was born when I was fifteen. I started work at 14. helping my Father.
The mother wanted another child
He had pneumonia three time before and was not really strong enough for the work we did it was alright in Summer but Winter was bad here in those days one could not grow grape vines and now we have vineyards producing quality wine. I remember my feet were always frozen and the agony of chilblains as they warmed up at night. Also I had a pain in my mind and I did not find out what caused it until twenty or so years ago. My youngest brother went to the university and became a research scientist. Luck of the draw.🌺

This is such a heartwarming story. You have such a wonderful family. Like you, I am proud of my little brother, who is also highly intelligent and made a great life for himself. The first part of your story reminded me of my oldest daughter Jennifer, who is 6 years older than our middle daughter Jessica, who was born at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital. When we brought Jessica home, Jennifer felt it was her responsibility as a big sister to feed and care for the new baby. They are still close to this day.
