Great I could feel that dreamlike state.  I guess it is with some thought of (what now) is the future that concerns most us.. Well some more than others. I did enjoy reading this.

Reminds me of my own retirement from the University as to how I’ll cope with in a year’s  time. Guess it will be like the mariners as you have pointed out. 🪭🪫

well, at some time this last year I grew old, I sort of understand the lotus eaters although up until recently, I enjoyed work, gardening, house keeping, shopping but I am tired now and can understand wanting to stop doing chores and indulging in a quiet existence.
