Re: Yes
I was going to suggest a lift if Mother will go for it.

Yes
I've been trying to get Mum to agree on a stair lift.

Got to think ahead . Mum is not going to climb stairs forever.
I had the same problem with my Mother. She will have to sleep
downstairs eventually but I know it is a toughy.

.....Old age is where I am in life, and I am thankful to still be able to take care of myself for the most part. I am thankful for my Son who is so ready to help at any time I should need him. What a gift he is and so, I really can relate to what is going on in the life of you and your mother. God bless you both and keep you in the hollow of his hand.

I like Sherri's idea of a stairlift.

Maybe you should sit your Mum up downstairs if that is possible. Otherwise, she may need a stairlift until she sorts it all out. At least you have the money issues and a plan worked out. That is something.

I hope Mother continues to heal. It’s very stressful with caregivers coming in or managing yourself. I’m sure that the uncomfortable mattress doesn’t help. Could you buy the mattress and set up downstairs until Mum is able to get up the stairs? Then move the mattress upstairs.
